I already posted the first part of the series sharing some of the emails I get from friends.

They just bring inspiration and smiles.

Below is another very recent one;

Good day and greetings from Accra,

I finally arrived after a rather lengthy trip. American Airlines caused me miss my connecting flight from Miami to Amsterdam so i spent two extra days there,

I actually started work two days ago and the environment is very friendly.

I am already missing Ciudad Colon and you all. It is a very friendly community we have out there and i can bet my bottom dollar on the fact that all of you will miss it in one way or the other when you leave.

It is a rather unique experience and greatly nostalgic when you think about John’s comic fits, Louis’ “threat” to “poison” Mwalimu (Raph); Nelson calling you over to Oscar’s for beer,Peace trying to coordinate everything so deligently; Isra always trying to dish out ideas:

George trying to “take over” wherever there is festivity, Mwalimu always trying to leave no traces behind (even though Detective Louis digs to uncover every one of his operations); the Commander coordinating bible fellowship and the bus service to church so efficiently; the great mobilising and partying spirit of the girls; Nigist’s gender sensitivity; Amsale wanting to read everything; Ledet’s wonderful smile, Bareket’s thrilling songs;

Frank’s wining and twisting during pura vida; Jack’s BBQ; the little gossips; Carolyn’s wonderful tenderness and intelligent reminders, and so on… Each one had something peculiar which made the mix so enjoyable.

I wish you all the best, and hope we meet again. Good luck in all your undertakings and God bless, while hoping that we all keep in touch!!

Hasta Luego.

In Peace,
