For some reason I have been avoiding blogging or discussing Obama or current U.S. election. But, its kind of hard not to get sucked into it once in a while.

A friend sent me an article that questions Obama´s policies on Africa, which I thought was legitimate. Obama mentions renewing partnerships with African countries and doubling budget for diseases (malaria,HIV) as part of the ´renewing America´s leadership´ policy. Time will tell to how much of these promises he would stick to.

I also think there are more to U.S polcies in Africa than those mentioned. Plus, partnership is a vague terms. It can mean anything. Either ways, the bottom line is beggers have no choice!

A few days ago someone forwarded really nice pictures of Obama in Africa. (see some below)

I am hoping a person who have such close ties with Africa wouldn´t let us down!

Apologies for picture qualities

Welcome to Obama-Mania. He is so many things in one. Fascinating, inspiring, agent of hope, peace, change and so much more.

It is hard not to get hooked. With that said, he had set a standard so high that he has to be a lucky President to achieve his goals.

war would have to come to an end. Natural disasters and ceratain uncontrollable events will have to go to sleep while he is a President.

Luck has a lot to do with it. As much as Bush had made some foolish mistakes, he has also been so unlucky with Katrina, 9/11, and a world that chose to go crazy in the last 8 years.

I wish him all the luck in the world. And he had the whole world excited once again.

Truly proud of him on how he handled himself, thus far.

I am cautiously optimistic that his Presidency (if chosen) will be one that would be successful under the circumstances.
